After working side by side in the swimwear industry, we knew we wanted to create something of our own. What started as a conversation between two best friends slowly became Kilei, inspired by our shared love of swimwear, island life, and the beauty of a piece made by hand.
Rooted on the island of Maui, Kilei is built around a slower, more thoughtful approach to swimwear. Each piece is handmade locally by our skilled seamstress. By keeping the production small and creating in limited batches, we’re able to focus on the little details, thoughtfully chosen fabrics, and the quality of every piece.
Our dream is for Kilei to be that bikini in your collection. The one you wear on repeat, the one that always makes it into your beach bag. A familiar favorite for years to come, loved more with each wear.
